Mountain retreat: Paradise Sound

Discover the magic of a recording retreat. Lodging available for groups.

Keepin' it real.

Paradise Sound was conceived and built before the digital recording revolution. Nobody builds studios like this any more. Why? Because today's recording technology gets us 90% of the outcome, at 10% of the cost. That last ten percent isn't about technology. It's about space, relaxation and purpose. Paradise Sound is one of the few remaining recording retreat destinations in the country. Let's do this!

Spread out.

Paradise is one of the few recording spaces remaining in the world where you can truly not worry about space. There's plenty. Want to bring a dozen guitar amps? No problem. Want a real Yamaha C7 piano? Got it. Oh, and can we put the drummer in his own isolation room, and still have eye-contact? Done. And there are still three more isolation rooms available beyond that.

Distance matters.

You can't force it. It just happens. Get away from normal life for a couple days, and your work can take on new dimension. Head East from Seattle, about an hour and a half into the heart of the North Cascade mountains, and you'll find a slice of recording heaven we call Paradise.

Close to... nowhere.

The joy is in the journey. The destination is part of the process.

What people are saying:

  • “Kevin and I clicked in the studio. I’ve witnessed beautiful compositions on the spot, that really brought the emotionality out in the songs we co-wrote. And, although it took time, I’ve never had better vocal takes in the studio. He made sure I felt like I do when I record at home, so my nerves weren’t shot, like they usually are, when that ‘record’ button is engaged.”

He truly is a one stop shop, from his musical ear, advice and editing, as well as his eye and expertise in graphic design. The CD's arrived right on schedule and I was able to sold over half of them the first month alone. I look forward to working with him on my next recording!”

  • “I talked with probably 6 different producers before a couple of my musician friends suggested I chat with Kevin. The guy is just so damn talented. I would tell him basically where I wanted a specific song to go, share a few artists with him who inspired me, and away we went. We did a lot of the work together in the studio, but sometimes he would send me a track and it would be completely transformed. I always felt like he cared about the quality of the project as much as I did.”
